HOW TO AUDITION
Ensure the key dates above fit your schedule, then fill out the form below to register your interest. Only those who are ready to sign up for the courses may register. Please do not audition if you do not have intentions to sign up for the courses. Only students of The Brass Barre may audition for the event - you must have at least taken one course at The Brass Barre.
Watch the relevant videos of the genre you'd like to participate in. Then practice, practice, practice! And yes, you may audition for more than one item!
Come for your audition on time or at least 15 minutes earlier to stretch. Once your Instructors are ready, they will split you into groups and have you perform that item 2-3 times (if time permits).
What we are looking out for:
Lines, musicality & most importantly showmanship! It's ok if you can't execute a trick 100%, but we would like to see how you 'fake it till you make it'! We want to see emotion and passion in your movements - that's one really big way to get noticed! Plus, there will be parts in each routine that may not even involve the pole!
Click here for the playlist so you can learn on your own!
Sit tight and we'll announce on Brass Queens who made the cut! From there, you must sign up for your performance course no later than week 8 of Term 5, else your slot may be given to someone else.
***Singapore Night Festival 2017 performers do not need to audition for the same genre. However, you are still required to register your interest in the form below. This does not guarantee you access to the showcase course, it just adds you to the list for the panel of teachers to consider. Should a Night Festival performer want to audition for a genre that is different from your Night Festival item, you are required to audition***
